Remember, if you’re tired of doing the same thing on Fourth of July every year, you have an opportunity to spread your wings, branch out, and try something new if you live in the city of Davis or the surrounding area. You do not have to sit home all day long grilling hamburgers and hotdogs on the barbecue if you have a burning desire to do something else. You may want to start your day out that way, but you can feel good knowing that you have opportunities to do other interesting and exciting things as well that’ll take you outside of your backyard.

Pay attention to the information we’re about to share with you below. Get together with friends, family members, and coworkers and get involved in one or more of these fun filled activities. And make the Fourth of July the best it can possibly be this year in Davis, CA.

Watch the 4th of July Fireworks Display and Spectacular in Community Park

If you’re looking to enjoy the best legal fireworks display in Davis – it’s illegal to light off fireworks without express permission from the city – then you have to make your way to Community Park this year. The fireworks spectacular is going to start at 9:30 PM on the Fourth of July and this wonderful display will last for about a half an hour. For those of us who are money conscious, just know that it is free to attend this event so you don’t have to worry about paying a dime to get into the park.

As a member of this community, you may want to come to Community Park early and spend the day here. There’s going to be a lot more going on than just a fireworks display in the evening. There are going to be picnics, live music, and lots of people in the community getting together to enjoy the day as a group. So if you’ve ever wanted to get to know your neighbors better, there’s no better time to do so then at the Fourth of July spectacular in Community Park.

The Davis Little League Pancake Breakfast

On the Fourth of July, the Davis Little League hosts its annual pancake breakfast. The event starts at 7 AM and ends at 11 AM, so if you want all-you-can-eat pancakes, you should definitely find yourself at Covell Boulevard and F Street in order to be a part of this fun community event.

If your child is in Little League, have the youngster wear their uniform so they can get into the event for free. Everybody else will have to pay to get into the event, but you don’t have to worry about buying tickets in advance because they are available at the door.

So remember to be hungry on the morning of the Fourth of July. There will be plenty of great tasting pancakes to eat and lots of fun companionship to be had. Remember to get together with your friends, family members, coworkers, and other members of the community to experience a wonderful pancake breakfast at 7 AM on the 4th of July. It’s definitely going to be a great time for all in attendance.

    Kiwanis Kiddie Parade

The Davis Kiwanis Club has been hosting an annual Fourth of July parade for the kids since 1960. This parade is an excellent way for young members of the community to get together and celebrate the Fourth of July together in an organized parade. This is a wonderful tradition that many Davis families seem to appreciate. Their kids have the ability to get involved in something exciting and fun and it also gives them an opportunity to honor America.

All of the kids have the opportunity to enter into the parade in a couple of different categories. Some kids will ride scooters, others will ride bicycles, and still others will get pushed in strollers. There are also kids that will be in wagons, in groups, or just walking around in the parade.

There are going to be hundreds of entrants into the parade. So the kids need to be enthusiastic, creative, and have beautiful Independence Day themes with their designs. They are going to be judged by the Davis Senior High School Key Club, so if they want to win, they must come prepared and do everything they can to impress the judges.

4th of July Criterium by the Davis Bike Club

The Davis Bike Club is going to host their annual Fourth of July Criterium just like they’ve done for more than 40 years. This event is extra special if you like to ride bicycles because it’s going to have action-packed bike races taking place all day long on July 4.

So if you’re a kid or an adult looking to enter into a race, there’s definitely going to be a race for you. In fact, kids can even enter into a noncompetitive fun ride as well. So if your kids want to get together with another group of young children but don’t feel like racing, they also have the opportunity to do so on the Fourth of July.
