It’s that time of year again. Celebrate Davis is back with a fun-filled event for all ages that’s sure to impress. From the rooms for rent in Davis, CA, the park grounds are just a short distance away. Here’s everything you need to know if you plan to attend.

    Times, Dates, and Location

Celebrate Davis takes place on Saturday, June 15th this year. The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. and ends with fireworks at 9 p.m. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, the event is being held at the Community Park. The address for the park is:

    1405 F St
    Davis, CA

The Celebrate Davis event lasts for just one day, so make sure to slot time aside if you want to attend. During that time, there’s a lot going on that makes this one amazingly fun-filled event.

    What to Expect

As you walk through Community Park, expect to see something for every age group. Bounce houses, shopping, Zorb balls, and business vendors are scattered across the park for the event. Animated flipbooks and a history of the YOLO Walk are excellent choices for families (as if the bounce houses weren’t enough, right?).

For adults, the sheer number of vendors and shopping opportunities are enough to keep anyone occupied. However, there’s also a wine and beer garden to spice up the festivities. Celebrate Davis also has an entertainment schedule for the main stage. Acts and times include:

    • Bubble Mania – 4:30 p.m.
    • Kyle Littleton – 5:00 p.m.
    • Todd Morgan – 5:30 p.m.
    • The Zerotoninz – 6:30 p.m.
    • Eazy Dub – 8:00 p.m.
    • And the fireworks display starting at 9:00 p.m.

Kyle Littleton, featured multiple times in Genii Magazine, is considered one of the most creative magicians of his generation. Fresh off of Penn and Teller’s “Fool US,” he has a few new tricks up his sleeve.

Todd Morgan is a performing artist known for his tenor voals as well as his guitar and piano playing ability. Morgan incorporates a mix of modern pop-rock with soul, blues, funk, jazz, and country to create a unique sound. Best of all, his ability to excite audiences will have the crowd roaring.

The Zerotoninz are a feel-good band from Sacramento. Their creative style is difficult to define, but captivating nonetheless. As for Eazy Dub, they combine their reggae roots with psychedelic rock to create an improvisational style that’s one of a kind.

During the event, you can find glow sticks for sale nearly everywhere. There are also numerous H20 To Go stations where you can fill up any water bottles you bring with you to help keep Davis sustainable. Finally, take a stroll through YOLO County history as part of the YOLO Walk, exploring the roots of the walk as well as Davis itself.

Various sponsors have joined together to help make this event possible. Nugget Markets, A Grand Affair,, and The Kana Company are all Gold Level sponsors this year. Other notable sponsors from the local area include the Davis Food Co-Op, The Good People Farms, and the El Macero Country Club. While not all sponsors will have a booth at the event, you can expect several to serve up plenty of shopping opportunities.

Thanks to the number of sponsors this year (and in years prior), Celebrate Davis is once again free to the public. That’s right, this event won’t cost you a dime unless you choose to purchase something from one of the vendors.

    Keeping Davis Green

Aside from the H20 to Go stations, there are a number of ways the Chamber of Commerce works to keep Davis green during the event. Scattered throughout the park grounds, you’ll find plenty of trash and recycling bins. There are also a number of compost bins for organic waste. Make sure to take advantage of these and help Davis retain its name as one of the greenest places in the country.

    Questions and Answers

If you have additional questions about the event, contact the Chamber of Commerce on Facebook. In the meantime, here are a few common questions and answers.
