Otherwise the landlord could potentially promise you the moon and the stars and deliver on absolutely none of the promises he or she made to you.

    Most luxury communities will always ask you to sign a lease. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to move into a luxury community for your first apartment. So contact the property owner or landlord and ask for a lease and make sure everything expected is in writing.
